A consultation and a scan usually sort this out quickly. Use these pages to understand the terms, and book a visit to find out which applies to you.
FAQs
What should I do first if I think I have a gynaecological condition?
Note your symptoms, the dates of your last few periods, and any medicines you take. Bring past reports and scans. Book a consultation. Dr. Swati examines you, decides which tests are needed, and explains the diagnosis before any treatment begins.
Can I have more than one condition at once?
Yes, and this is common. PCOS and thyroid disease occur together often. Endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids can coexist. Dr. Swati looks at the whole picture, so that treating one does not worsen another.
Which symptoms need attention straight away?
Very heavy bleeding that soaks through a pad every hour, sudden severe pelvic pain, fainting, fever with pelvic pain, or bleeding with pain in early pregnancy need urgent care. Call 108 or 112, or go to the nearest hospital emergency.
Do all conditions affect fertility?
No. Many conditions, such as simple fibroids or mild menstrual problems, do not stop you getting pregnant. Others, such as untreated PCOS, endometriosis or blocked tubes, can. A fertility evaluation shows whether your condition matters for conception.
